During the Sunday service on 5th March Les was presented with a gift from the Parish to support him during his time of Sabbatical.
Dear All, I was not expecting such a wonderful gift from the congregations today which was presented to me to help with my sabbatical plans. The gift has opened up more options for me over the coming weeks. The gift will be a great support and will allow me to explore more time away on reflection, study, prayer, for me to grow in God calling upon my life. I want to concentrate on St Paul and his calling. Acts 9: Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? From that moment Saul’s life took a dramatic change as he became Paul and became a great Evangelist. I will fly to Cyprus next Sundays for a walking retreat and start reading and reflecting on St Paul. Paul did visit Paphos in Cyprus and the surrounding areas in his missionary journeys. I will be praying for all the congregations while I am away. I mentioned this morning, that we have a faithful God. St Paul whether you embrace him or not, in Paul's life after conversion, Paul not matter what he faced, would points to Jesus. Whatever you experience over the coming weeks and months, please remember that God is with you in every part of your life. My sermon theme this morning was John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. With faith we are saved, because of the cross and the love of God. Wishing you much love, peace and my prayers. Les
