2021 marks our 145th anniversary year of the Mothers' Union. As we emerge from the restrictions of the past 15 months we are encouraged to be "on the move" and raise funds to help families around the world, especially women and girls. The economic fallout and restrictions of people behind closed doors has taken its toll, particularly in the rise of domestic abuse, both home and overseas. We are raising funds to help build a brighter future for families.
On Monday 9th August members of Horley Branch Mothers' Union welcomed our MU Diocesan Chaplain, the Rev'd Esther Foss, to preach at our service as we remembered the death of Mary Sumner 100 years ago. Team Rector Canon Les Wells led the service attended by members and friends. The service was followed with a light supper.
As part of our Summer of Hope campaign "on the move" we are undertaking sponsored short walks through Horley, praying for the community as we go. Please donate if you are able, using our Just Giving Page Summer of Hope Appeal
